If my sodium levels are always under the MFP allowed and I am drinking 140 ounces of water everyday, does that water intake counteract any of the sodium?

My nutritionist said no more than 1400 mg of sodium TOTAL a day.
Water does not counter act, it will help flush out but it's still being absorbed
which is not healthy over 1400mg a day.

Canuckgurrl - can you share your diary? I'm interested to see what 1400mg looks like per day - I'm guessing it's a lot of fruits and veggies.

I've recenelty been really watching my sodium and need some ideas for good foods/snacks.

Caraetc - Good for you with all that water! I found that green tea helps me flush out too. You may want to think about resetting your sodium goal on MFP if it has you set at 2,500mg a day.

No water doesn't counteract sodium, but potassium does. Try eating broccoli or a banana
