I have a question.

For the past few days, I have just been hungry. My tummy would growl between meals and snacks . . . I usually eat around 6 times a day. But, it just didn't seem to solve the hunger problem.

I've been eating several different meals throughout the week, but haven't been switching it up as much as I should. I am going shopping today and am going to buy some more variations.

But, since I haven't went over my calories much . . . I thought that maybe, just for today, I should have an eat-what-I-want day. Maybe that would help my metabolism and kick this hunger feeling in the butt.

Soooo, this morning, my boyfriend and I went to Hardee's. He got two bacon, egg and cheese biscuits and an orange juice. I thought I would get something that I WOULD'VE gotten around a month ago before I first started my weightloss journey. So, I ordered a chicken biscuit, add mayo, with hashbrowns and a Coke.

... man, I never realized just how disgusting that really tastes. And, I also never realized just how much drinking water with your meal actually cleans your palate and lets you re-taste the food each time you take a bite.

I've decided, after that yucky encounter, that I should eat what I want today, but, still focus on healthier foods. That was just too gross for words!

Am I doing the right thing? Do any of you guys ever have that problem?

Funny how that happens! I went for stir fry...couldnt wait to eat that yummy food. I watched them pour the oil, and pour and pour and pour.:noway: :noway:
Stop I said, I thought this was healthy food?

I ate some of it anyway. The sodium burned my lips and made them swell, and the oil tasted like that all day lipstick they have out there. YUCK!!

the good new is I no longer crave stir fry!

Oh and I do have an all you can eat day every 3-4 weeks. The choices have changed, but I do not count a single calorie.

    Yesterday was that day!

LOL  It is funny how that happens. I was shocked at the ickyness... and even more shocked that I used to put that into my body on a regular basis. But, you're right, I will no longer crave that food.

I wasn't planning on counting calories today at all, but just out of curiosity, I logged my breakfast. It came to 900-some calories!!!! Ouch. LOL

Do you find it helps to have an all-you-can-eat day? Does it help you lose and help control cravings?

I don't have a free day, but rather a free meal once a week. I have found that I can not eat the same things that I used to eat oh so long ago. I do make healthier choices, though sometimes I just can't resist and have something fried- though I pay for it later- LOL. I do count he calories though, and I still try to stay at least within my maintenance calories for the whole day- though it doesn't alway work out that way.

It is funny how your body chnges and adapts to the healthier food and beverage choices.
