Project: Beach Body

I'm almost at my goal weight and I've been doing some (mostly cardio) exercise throughout this goal. Now, I'm ready for phase two of this transformation.
Project: Beach Body
By next summer (9-10 months out), I want to walk out at the pool without my shirt on and feel confident about my body -- it wouldn't hurt if I also turned a couple heads. Nicely shaped arms, ripped tummy and chest.
Here's my problem... I don't know where to start and I can't afford a personal trainer. There's a gym here at the office and I usually hit the local recreation center on the weekends. So, I have access to the equipment. What I really need is some sort of guide to get me from here to there with a plan.
Can anyone suggest a video or book (preferably something I can get at the library) that would point me in the right direction?
PS. I just took my shirtless before pic with a big, fat, smile!

Although its expensive, INSANITY is my favorite workout and it requires NO equipment. Just you, yourself, and your body! Its a 60 day cardio + calisthenics workout that really is "insane," but I highly recommend it. Sometimes you can find it cheaper on amazon or craigslist, but it really is worth the money. The cardio burns off fat while all of the squats, pushups, jumps, and lunges really do build muscle.
I am working on my "beach body" as well-hope this helps!0 -
Here's the before picture IT ISN'T PRETTY! Believe it or not... I'm already seeing results. I decided to work an area (arms/chest, Abs/full body, and legs/back) after doing some cardio first and then waiting three days after an intense work out for each area -- the rotation keeps me working out 6 days a week, which is what I wanted to do. I'll keep you posted on my project beach body.

The Insanity project would be a great start for you. If you follow the paleo diet (google search it) and really stick to Insanity, you'll reach your goals in no time at all.0

I looked up the paleo diet (the Caveman diet). But, I don't know about that considering the average life expectancy of the cave man was about 16-30 years old. I'll look into it a bit more, but I'm skeptical.0
