Hey everyone , I stopped taking a shot that did make me gain weight and I Know it's from the shot I took cause I gained almost 15 pounds taking it , well since I made the choice to stop taking it I have a question just to double check. This de finetly made me happy bigtime since im not taking it no more but hopefully it will work out good how I hope.I am certain I will lose the weight I put on but does everyone think i'll lose it all at once or a little at a time?I am guessing that since I quit taking it it will all come off just wondering if all at once or a little at a time. Before I took it an gained all that weight from it I could eat just about anything I want and none gain anything but the shot sure put the weight on , any input on whether it will take a while to lose it or not would mean alot , hoping ita ll comes off after it's out of my system

  • For me, getting off medications that had made me gain never made the weight come off at all--it just stopped putting it on. I still had to get it off the hard way. Sorry. I hope it's different for you, but that's what I've experienced, many times.
  • It is always best to check with your doctor regarding starting and stopping meds. Also, he/she can advise you regarding the weight gain/loss.

You're going to need to work to take it off. The first few pounds will probably come off rather quickly, but unless it's all water weight, it's going to take some time and effort to shed them all.

I actually did have a 10 pound water weight gain not too long ago. I swelled up like water balloon over a period of about 3-4 days. It took almost that many days of being on a prescription strength diuretic to get rid of it. And that was just water gain.
  • thanks long as I know it all comes off thats fine
