I want to be sure I am doing all of this right...do I want my net caloric intake to be high or low and about where? they have me at 1200 cal per day and I am always consuming at least that, but when I exercise, I want to be sure I am eating back enough (which many times it is quite a few. What do I want my net to be each day? thanks!

Your NET caloric intake, including exercise, should be AT LEAST 1200 calories. Which means you'll eat more than 1200 calories when you do exercise.0

Yeah 1200 seems fairly low, but without knowing the details of your body type that's hard to guess. Anything under 1k/day for an adult human is always considered dangerous.
Food calories consumed - calories burned from exercise = Established net calorie goal
So if you burn off 200 calories, eat 200 calories more, keeping your net right at about 1200 every day.0
