Sounds like a question for your doctor, IMHO. :flowerforyou:0

don't know what your exercising now but...
first just start off with low impact exercises that you know/feel are safe for your knee.. like walking or even the elliptical for cardio and for strength training.. i would start off with lower weights concerning lower body like leg press and basic squats/lunges to get a feel of how your knee is.... then gradually increase resistance, etc based on that. make sure to be super aware of your body and what it is telling you because you don't want to hurt your knee again!
with upper body.. strength train as normal
in my opinion!
you said your injury was a year ago? have you been to physical therapy for it? b/c you should probably ask them what exercises you can do... and is it better now or still bad?

****edit
wanted to add... of course this depends on how bad your injury was and what type of injury exactly and all that stuff! so yes, ask your doctor and/or physical therapist!0 -
I have had 3 knee surgeries on my left knee and exercise like a fiend... however, I am cleared to do so by my doctor. That's the best place to start.0
