I hope in doing this I'll be more accountable for what I eat. I want to be fit and get rid of my gut. I think this will help. Wish me luck!

H,
i think you'll find being on here a very good experience.....i've only joined in july & i've been feeling my way around, just taking it all in....i entered my first food diary the other night & it felt great......just the fact that i put down everything that i put in my mouth really helps me understand my body & what i've been doing to it.....i think with every step you take, you'll feel better and better
best of wishes to you! :happy:0 -

Not only does it hold you accountable, it's a real high watching your tickers move toward your goal. Seeing tangible results is very motivational. Best wishes to you!0

Welcome aboard! Speaking for a man my husband joined our family in a "healthier lifestyle" back in January. He lost 50 lbs and now is in maintenance mode. He just ate better and watch his intake and went to the gym three times a week doing 1 mile of walking and 15 minutes of strength training to tone. He has always been someone that just add lunch and dinner with seconds. He almost never ate breakfast and usually an apple at night. He only drank regular pop. All he did was start eating a bowl of cereal in the morning, made better food selections, one plate for dinner, and started drinking diet pop.
MFP has a great support system. Logging in your food will help you greatly keep on track. Good luck in your journey!0 -
Thank you everybody for the support. Everyone's so nice on here.0

Me too!! We can do this! I hope I can buckle down and realize that the reason I can't drop weight is because of what is going in my mouth!
Anybody doing the 30 day shred??

Wow how did you get your hubby on board? Mine wants nothing to do with it and I find it very hard to fix healthy food for me and
make him his nightly swimming in carbs and gravy dinners and lunches..........0 -
My wife got me to join. We are both trying really hard.0
