I need advice on what workout to start?

I have been doing interval training (on my own) to get up to jogging straight - 30 minutes, EA Sports Active 2 - 40 minutes to 60 minutes+ according to what they make me do, Stationary Bike - 20 minutes for 4 days a week and one day I do whatever I want.

But as I start to loose weight and am just 15 lbs to being overweight I am concerned about my lower stomach not shrinking as much as I'd like. I have a odd shape with a line at my belly button and my lower tummy sags a bit (not much) and is larger than my upper tummy above my belly button.

I can't get a tummy tuck due to money and the fact I want to start a family in the future and don't want to ruin it.. so I need help!

Can anyone reccommend a good workout video or routine that can help me tone the lower half of my stomach? I know it may never be "flat", but I'd love if it lost some of the fat and didn't sag anymore! (The skin on it isn't that loose, it feels elastic if anything).

I also have big legs at the top, any other workouts I can do to help tone those? I thought running would help, but they are going down so slowly!

My biggest concern though is my lower stomach.. anyone have any success stories.. or suggestions on what to do? (I have been doing crunches, leg lifts, and a few exercises on EA Sports daily but I don't see much progress since I started)

Thanks!!!!

My tummy sounds much like yours. I have found that p90x is doing a wonderful job of tightening me up all over. Ab ripper X & Core Synergistics (both from p90x) are really making my tummy look so much nicer and cut after only one round of the p90x cycle. I start round two Monday and can't wait.

Just bumping (is that ok to do?) to see if anyone else has any other choices.. P90X isn't in my price range just yet :( So hoping to find something a bit cheaper to do in the meantime until I can afford to buy it.

There's no magic formula. And you can't spot reduce your belly alone. Continue eating at a modest calorie deficit, do a mixture of cardio and strength training, and be patient. Slow and steady wins the race. The tummy fat is often the last area to leave and the first place to come back.

What Taso said. He is WISE like that. We used to sacrifice cows in his honor, but switched to organic free range chickens. Because they are lower in calories and stuff. Seriously, eat right, and get some exercise, it's ALL good!! Good luck!

Calorie deficit, strength training and cardio. There is no secret, no special methods, no magic, and no cop outs. Work steady and consistent. It wiil come off.

Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred DVD is a great workout and has 3 levels - it is circuit training. 3 minutes of strength, 2 minutes of cardio, 1 minute of abs x 3 circuits. It's at Wal-Mart for about $10. Just need hand weights and a mat if you're on a hard floor. I'm still on Level 1 - it's tough for only being 20 minutes. But her DVDs all have very good ratings on Wal-Mart's website.

I agree with the Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred. It's a killer workout for 20 minutes. If you do it make sure you ease into it as you can really hurt yourself at first even if you've been exercising regulary. She hits muscles you probably aren't getting to in other workouts.

    Good Luck!

Thank you! I am getting that DVD off Amazon now, it's only $9 on there and we have Prime... I plan on getting P90X when I get the money.. and I know there is no "magic" forumala.. but I am new to strength training so I needed advice on DVD's and stuff to get me started, because I don't know where to start.
