30 Day Shred question

for all those who have already started/completed the DVD...

The DVD looks great and as a mum often at home I think I'd be able to fit this in at 20 mins a day.

I'm a runner albeit a not fast or consistent one. So my routine typically consists of 2x run, 2x gym (strength and cardio) and 1x zumba class a week. I've seen 30DS reviews that talk about the pain after the workout! Has anyone managed to complete the DVD whilst keeping up with other training? I don't want to be too sore to run or do zumba (which is my new-found love)!

I'd like to improve strength and shrink my arms, waist, hips and thighs ideally.

Thanks guys!

I'm half way through level 2 :) and I always do other things every day, I always make sure I've done at least an hour of exercise. I do various other things with the shred, such as Zumba, other Jillian DVDs, hip hop abs, pilates etc.. I had mega pain for the first 3 days of level 1 but since then it's been alright!

I just started the dvd and am on day 6 (level 1). I have also just finished the 9th week of c25k and am doing my first 5k in a couple of weeks. 30DS is a great workout and I have been able to do it along with my other workouts and not have pain after the workout. I have started by doing the modified examples on the moves that might bother me, but for the most part now I'm doing it how they show you on the dvd. We have similar workout routines & goals! I also just recently discovered zumba and love it! Good luck and feel free to send me a friend request if you want.

The pain subsides considerably after the first few days. I usually incorporate 2 miles of jogging every other day or her Banish Fat Boost Metabolism workout video.

Ecxellent thank you all. I too started running with c25k and love it, such a brilliant programme, well done Mary for completing it.

It's good to hear the aches and pains aren't all so bad. On Amazon people were reporting being almost unable to move for days! I hope I have a 'not too bad' fitness level which will help.

I'll buy it I think, next time I'm able to.

I have done the C25K program and am now running 25 mins at 11/12 kph 3 times a week and tonight I started the 30DS - I have been holding off for the very same reason as I didnt want to be struggling when I run - tomorrow will tell if it hurts... at the moment it feels ok but only finished 30 mins ago and havent tried to climb the stairs yet - LOL - I was thinking my legs might be ok as have been training them running ;)
