I know better...

I know that the scale isn't the way to determine success when making a life change like I have with eating and exercising. I have completely changed the way I eat. I now cook everything from scratch. I plan and make every weeks worth of meals. (Cooking Light Magazine has become my best friend). I even incorporated walking 30 minutes 5 days a week. I know this is working... I do... I have overcome a lumpectomy and possible cervical cancer scare and not once did I give up. I just kept on cooking and walking.

So WHY am I so obsessed with stepping on that scale daily to see if it's below 180? It's like that is some magical number! The scale hasn't budged in weeks... My husband also has MFP loaded on his phone and is having the same great results I am. We eat the most amazing meals and never feel deprived and I tell myself that I don't care if the scale goes down because I love cooking and feeling better! I hae gone from a size 18 to a size 12... But that damn scale won't budge!

I think I need help....

That would be frustrating, but like you said, you feel much better and you've lost 3 sizes! That's tremendous. and the number on the scale is just that. People don't know it unless you tell it to them, but they can notice you're in smaller clothes.

    Keep up the great work!
