I decided to try this site as I've been on another free site but this one seems to have a bigger database of food. I was wondering if this site can generate a meal and/or fitness regime like the other one? Or do you just use it to track but figure out your own exercise? I don't like meal plans since I'm picky but the strength training in particular was useful to get a set group of exercises to do. Also, do you feel the calories burned is usually accurate on MFP when you punch in your exercise? I was always skeptical on the other site as the amount burned seemed awfully high and way higher than the machine might tell you. The calories I was given here are also a lot lower than the other one, so I guess I'm just wanting comparisons if you've tried other sites, and your experience here.

My advice and what I do is check all your nutritional labels and match them when you enter your food (if possible). Most the foods in the database are entered by other members and some tend to be wrong. So choose carefully. I don't have a HRM yet so I don't know about the accuracy of the exercises but they do seem alittle high on some choices. I would check that also before entering. I always enter less minutes than what I actually do until I get my HRM.

I haven't tried other site but I find that I have to change my calories burned during excersize but I wear a calorie counter so mine is accurate. The calories I was given is accurate to what my doctor has me on for a daily basis, only my protein intake is a bit low and carbs are way to high but I don't eat many carbs anyway. Hope that helps.

I guess I was just kind of shocked that my calorie budget on MFP was so low. I had a larger range on Spark People. I always check my labels against what is entered in this database as well as the other one. I think some have old information (or were entered wrong by someone) cause the same item can be entered several times all with different calorie listings.
What kind of calorie counter or heart rate monitor do you use?
