foot injury and low impact exercises?

I was diagnosed with calcaneus bursitis where the tendons around my heel are inflamed. I was doing the 30-day shred and it made it horrible, I had taken up jogging and it is unbearable now so I have to really limit the amount of impact I put on my heel. I am looking for suggestions to exercises I can do at home that will help me lost weight still. What tools could I use? I could do the elliptical but my schedule is really busy not allowing me to go to the gym for a while. I need something I can do at home, in the house or yard that will not have any sort of pounding on my heel.

I really want to learn how to use things like kettle balls, and resistant training, I am just totally clueless about how to use them. Thanks in advance!

I would suggest cycling if you have a bike or can borrow one. It is low impact and depending on where you live you can do it around the neighborhood. Also, for resistance training, you could try pilates with bands. Gaiam has a really good set at Target and on the Gaiam website. Good luck!

Thanks! I do not have a bike but I really want one, just not in the budget right now. That would ultimately be ideal. I just have to let this heal all the way and ease back into it. It is very frustrating.
