Hi!
I'm pretty new to the app. I have been logging in for about 30 days- yippie! I have seen a few changes (7 lbs. gone). But, I am wondering if there is any advice you have for me, as the new kid on the block? Is there a cool feature that I should know about? Any delish foods that are nearly calorie-less (pickles!!)? I'd to read anything you're willing to share!
Take care,
Rita

I love the iPhone app! It got me here and I'm powering along now! My advice would be don't be tempted to reduce your calories if your weight-loss slows down. I had to increase mine a bit as I wasn't eating enough. And eat your exercise cals - at least most of them.0

I agree the phone app is awesome. Keeps me on track wherever I go and also love the barcode scanner part. Easy squeezey lemon peesy.
My real advice is though although you may be under your calorie intake, watch your sodium. Eat clean and forgo processed, packaged foods. They are fine in a pinch but they are loaded in sodium and other "stuff" that just holds you back. Keeping an eye on the whole picture has allowed me to indulge in the areas that are really important to me like, going out to restaurants with my family and friends and still be conscience and loose.
Good luck in your journey and welcome to the MFP family.0 -
Second and third the app suggestion if you have a smartphone (available for android, blackberry and windows phone too). Having the numbers 'in your face' can motivate, but it can also make it fun.
Otherwise, these forums have a ton of useful information. Just think of a topic you want more information on and use the search feature to find your answers!0 -
Thank you so much!!! I appreciate all of the advice. Yes, I have the iphone app and CANNOT CANNOT CANNOT live without it! Funny thing is, I could care less about what the phone should do- I just want to use MFP! hahahaha
I hope to be on here with weight loss numbers in the double digits soon!!
Thanks again for the warm welcome!0
