Avoiding the "relapse"

I go back and forth with this problem A LOT. I work out and love it, I eat well for a week. And then suddenly I find myself eating waaaayyyyy too much of something. Mostly sugary foods.
I think its an emotional thing? I've had some big changes in my life (IE a cross country move where I now have no family or friends near by.) I don't know what to do anymore!
I love "healthy" food. When I work out, I feel awesome. But I just can't seem to stick to doing both for more than a week at a time,,, Anyone have any advice on overcoming those cravings or succes stories on how they gave up sugar?
Any help would be great.

Don't keep those things in the house.
Try entering in a couple day's meals/snacks a head of time and stick to those foods
Drink a lot of water
Chew gum or brush your teeth when you start to get a craving
Pause before reaching for food to decide how you're feeling: bored/angry/stressed/tired/happy and then do something about that feeling other than eat0 -
If it is an emotional problem, you need to deal with the emotions, rather than little tricks to avoid food. If you are having trouble making friends, see if there are any local clubs you can join. Keep in touch with your friends that are far away. Try to get out of the house as much as you can.
Avoiding sugar is good, but the more you think about it, the more likely you are to binge later. Try to find some distractions and work on making other aspects of your life happy and healthy as well.0 -
Jamcnair's advice to pause and assess your feelings is great advice.0

maybe its because u tell yourself you cant have anything sugary that you then crave it by the end of the week? The odd treat wont hurt, especially if you work it into your calories once a week, and then you arent craving it and going crazy?0
