Has anyone with a HRM ever walked or run with weights and compared it to walking/running calories burned without weights?
I just did 58 minutes at a 12 minute mile with 3 pound wrist weights on each arm - I made sure to keep my arms moving ("pumping") and I definitely feel an after burn. How many calories over what MFP said do you think I burned? The only article I could find from googling it said that weights have been shown to increase a calorie burn by as much as 55% but I don't want to overestimate!

The only way to really know would be to get a heart rate monitor, but I think an educated guess is your best option right now.0
