How long should a plateau last? :(

Started trying to lose weight seriously again about 3 months ago, looking to lose about 3 stone altogether. I lost a stone in the first 6-8 weeks with a lot of hard work but now everything has ground to a halt :(

For the last month or so now, I've been stuck at the same weight - the scales sometimes show a loss of 1lb. I've been eating perfectly, going to the gym 5 times a week, mixing up my workouts with a personal trainer.

I thought that maybe the scales weren't moving because I've been doing a lot of BodyPump classes, so I could be building muscle - but this morning my PT measured my body fat percentage and it's the exact same as it was 3 weeks ago! How is it even possible that there's been no change for nearly a month?! I've tried the grapefruit trick but no joy.

Starting to feel really disheartened by it, I've been working so hard and it's starting to feel like it's not even worth it :(
