LOVE it, you have to see it! If they can do it, we can too!

not exactly realistic. the first half of the season is okay but the second half the people stay for 6 mos at a fitness resort. i can lose weight too if i dont have to work, have all my food cooked for me adn have nothing to do but go to fitness classes. I much prefer Extreme Make Over Weight Loss Edition. Chris Powell rocks.

Must check this series out........... Thanks!
  • I loved Heavy. I really liked the first half when they sent them back home and would see if they could keep up with the progress they had gained from being at the facility. Is the new season on yet?

I loved Heavy. I did some googling and it appears they have cancelled it. Very sad, indeed!

It was a pretty good show but I've been into Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition. It's more realistic!

I like this show! I'm also a big fan of the biggest loser, and I love watching supersize v superskinny! It shows sometimes on the new Oprah network, and I find it really interesting.

No way, that's sad. I watched all the episodes online because I didn't know it was even on. That's probably why...lol.

I love this show too! Well, I love any show where people change their lives through weight loss. It's very inspirational.

I like Heavy and find it one of the more realistic weight loss shows, they send them to 6 months of "treatment" not just weight loss like Biggest loser. THey don't make them have competitions or do back biting by voting people off. Plus they don't offer them any type of giant financial incentive at the end.

And while I do like Chris Powell's new series it isn't realistic either...he lives with them for 3 months, follows them the other 9 and pays for skin removal surgery all while providing other types of gain, like cars and nannies.

Granted. and they also don't have to work the first 3 mos. but as shown by people's lack of succes in phase 2when they're all of a sudden on their own and have to go back to work, even with his follow ups and his paying for food, when people have to make their own choices, they don't always make the right ones. And even with all the support, it's up to them to get themselves back on the right track. Something I can relate to much more than someone living at a luxury resort in Florida for 6 mos with nothing to think or worry about but losing weight and eating gourmet food in the restaurant.
