Body Attack

I know there are already some threads on Body Attack but hoped some more people could share their experience of this class. I just wondered if anyone has done it and also if they enjoyed it? I've watched some videos online and I'm worried that it might be too hard for me! I love body combat and zumba and although I'm definitely out of puff by the end, I think I'm able to do them quite comfortably.

How different is body attack from body combat or an intensive zumba class in terms of required fitness and difficulty?

Thanks :)

    *GASP!* I LOVE Body Attack!

I used to take it 4-5 times per week at my local GoodLife fitness, but I've dropped down to 2 since I'm currently in half-marathon training, so I use it as my cross-training, now.

It's a FANTASTIC workout! Their latest release has amazing music, and it's a class that's geared for EVERY level of fitness. Yes, it's tough, but only as tough as you make it! They give you low options for each move, so you can always bring your heart rate down if it gets to be too much for you.....

It's really intense cardio, and I don't find that Zumba offers as much of a cardio workout, personally. I can't speak for Combat because I've never taken it, but I HIGHLY recommend that you try Attack! You'll get the kind of workout that you'd never do for yourself....It's awesome!

If you like Combat....I would bet that you will like Attack! I love both of them....Combat is more of an upper body work out where attack focus on the legs more. They offer many different levels, so when you first start taking it you can choose to take lower levels!

Both classes are amazing and they are great to mix things up. I find Combat harder to follow sometimes but after a few classes they are pretty similiar!

You could totally do Attack if you are doing Combat and Zumba!

Give it a try (a few classes) and see what you think.....just remember its okay to take the lower levels! I still don't do the jumping jacks as I just find it upsets my tummy! But I take Attack twice a week, and Combat once a week (thats all they offer it at my gym  )

That's really helpful! Thanks guys. There's a class on Wednesday night at my local gym so I'm just going to go for it! I guess I'm worried I'll look stupid and everyone will be fitter than me... but then I worried about that before zumba and combat and I was totally fine (and now love them!). I love zumba but I'm never sore the morning after which makes me worry that maybe it's not working me hard enough. It's so much fun though and I sweat buckets so going to keep at it!

its definately more cardio than combat, where combat seems to be more technique
