We are looking for a HRM for my husband. We need one with a large chest strap....any suggestions?? I have a Polar FT4 for women, and the chest strap isnt bg enough for him. Please help!

I don't like the Timex all that much, but the chest strap fits me just fine. Perhaps there is a good timex for him.0

I'll be watching for answers. My Garmin's strap really isn't quite big enough to be comfortable, though I still use it. And I'm not really that big around the chest. 44" ish I think. Maybe they're supposed to be tight enough that you always know it's there and stay within your target? lol....i dunno.0

okay so the chest straps on the men's are bigger than womans??? Im a HRM newbie, but trying to get my husband on board!0 -
Any of the Polar models with the Wearlink transmitter should work. The transmitter is separate from the chest strap and attaches to it prior to use. You simply unsnap the transmitter when you are done.
One of the benefits of this is that you can order an extra large chest strap and you don't need to purchase an extra transmitter, which makes it cheaper than the older models.

I started out with that (I was a 4X shirt size back then), and now I'm using the one that came with the unit (with room to spare). My current chest size is 42".

I wear mine over my gut, right below the chest bone, it works fine there. it mite be just too tight up high on his chest0
