I mixed up some very interesting turkey burgers today at the group home where I work. I'm not going to cook and serve them until tomorrow, but I was pleased by the little taste test patty I made. The thing is, they have this zingy asian taste to them, and I'm not sure what condiment to serve them with.

The basic burger consists of: Lean ground turkey breast, egg, seasoned whole wheat bread crumbs.

For flavor, they contain: 1/2 green bell pepper, 1/2 red bell pepper, 1/2 onion, grated carrot, 1 tsp chili garlic sauce (the spicy Vietnamese stuff), 1 tsp fresh ginger, 1 Tb lite soy sauce.

I'll be serving them on light wheat buns (not whole grain, the reduced calorie rolls). But mustard might be too much competition, mayo just doesn't seem right, and ketchup... well, maybe ketchup.

Can anyone think of a sauce/spread I could make to put on the rolls that would compliment these flavors nicely? I was thinking maybe mixing a little greek yogurt with some spices. Any ideas?

  • Mayo + Chili Garlic Sauce + Splenda

Whatever amounts you combine to your taste. One of my favorite dips - especially with seafood/chicken.

There is a kraft mayo out that is lite and is a wasabi mix..there is also a garlic lite mayo. both would nprolly be good.. Also a horsereadish or spicy mustard would compliment the burger. Good Luck sounds awesome.

I normally mix light mayo with chili sauce or ketchup with chili sauce.....depending on which I'm in the mood for. I normally do half and half but you may wish to do less chili since its for kids.

These all sound good. I'm going to have to try the mayo, chili sauce, & splenda mix.
