SO i go to this little restaurant called hogans hideaway for their incredible spaghetti.

" spaghetti: house-made pasta tossed in marinara sauce 4.75 "

I get the dish off the kids menu because the pasta is thick and rich-very filling. Its almost like an Italian "udon" noodle.

however every time i order this i'm stuck, unable to know how many calories is in this dish...its not the end of the world but i am curious.

Its about a cup and a half and the sauce is just a plain tomato sauce, any ideas????

you could check to see if they have a website and share their nutritional information.

Otherwise, check how many calories in a comparable noodle and use that....

Fresh pasta does not have as many calories as dry. Cooked fresh pasta is probably 150-175 for a cup. Tomato sauce (without meat or cheese) is pretty low as well -- 30-40 calories for 1/4 cup, which is enough to coat a cup of pasta.
  • You can do what the others said, but I'm also pretty sure that every restaurant by law is supposed to have some sort of nurtitional information... so you can always ask them next time, and if they don't know it, ask them what they put in it... it shouldn't be a problem!
