hi.. so im due to be weighed this morning at my doctors (i see a specialist for my asthma condition who is also helping me monitor my weight)

but it's period week! and i never know how much to take into consideration for when im on.

any tips would be wonderful. ( but please no oh dont weigh yourself to after your period im weighed every week on a monday!)

    so if they mention you havent lost, then just say its TOM.
  • just tell them that you have your period, they'll take that into consideration if you've gained from last week

    i've often said it's the time of the month but they never tell me how much i should take off when i weigh myself.. it gets a bit confusing when i cant get an appointment and have to weigh myself before hand as some weeks i have to wait up to 4 weeks before i can get in to see him again.

    Personally I tend to be about 3lb heavier from the day before through to day 2/3. But it will vary for individuals

    I tend to gain a pound or maintain the week before TOM, everyone's different but hope that helps.

    I don't adjust my weight for time of the month. Just accept and move on :)

    I think this is too much of a person by person thing to predict what yours might be, I am a huge retainer of water and can put on as much as 7-8lbs the day before and until about two days after then it'll just disappear over night, and sometimes a little extra!

    There's no standard number you should take off you just have to know your own body
