Think I might be plateauing - zig zag calorie time?

Plateauing.. doesn't look like a word.

I'm not sure, but I think I'm at the beginning of a plateau. I am going to try zig zag calories this week and see what happens. I KNOW that I've told others until I'm blue in the face that to get rid of a plateau you have to trick your body and eat more here and there, but now when it's coming to my turn I'm scared to do it! Isn't that silly! I feel like... oh no I have to increase my calories I'm not going to loose weight this week.

This site: http://www.freedieting.com/tools/calorie_calculator.htm gave me an option to give me zig zag calories for the week. Some lower, some way higher. MFP wants me to consume 1300 calories a day, whereas this site wants me to do the average of 1500 calories a week.

What are your thoughts? Need some encouragement that this will work! Others that have tried this, please let me know.

My week will look like:

Fat Loss
Monday 1568
Tuesday 1254
Wednesday 1881
Thursday 1568
Friday 1411
Saturday 1725
Sunday 1568

  • This looks like a good idea, I think I might try it myself. However I'm torn between the 'fat loss' option (1522) and the 'extreme fat loss option (1141) ... ? :/

I started this last week (using the calories calculated from the same site!!) and I lost a pound last week, despite not working out much.

When I used the calculator, I submitted that I'd be working out for 2.5 hours weekly so that I won't have to calculate my other calories in. It's working well so far! Its annoying to have your totals be off almost every day but that's the only drawback. Also, because I intend on working out about 4-6 hours a week, I chose the fat loss option instead of the extreme fat loss option. I know that I can't eat less than 1300 on a running day without starving :indifferent:
