Hi everyone. I have had some stet backs with my weight. Between having hip and knee surgery, and being diagnosed as a Type 1 Diabetic in my 30's, I have "let my self go." I am ready to get back on the horse...a few pounds lighter...LOL

I have started my exercise routine today and have started to eat healthier. I am currently at 235lbs, and would like to get back in to the shape I was in high school when I was most active. I was a steady 180 in high, and would like that to be my first goal. Would I love to fit into a size 6, YES, but would be very happy getting into a size 12 for now.

I will enjoy taking this journey with many of you.

Welcome :-) You'll love it here and there is a big chance that if you keep following the MFP plan you may say goodbye to diabetics :-)

Hi all, i am a newbie but not a newbie to trying to lose weight! I have tried WW and SW but I miss all the things you cant have. With calorie counting I can have what i want if i plan it out.

I now have quite a bit to lose and i am hoping calorie counting will do the trick, it would be great to hear some success stories to spur us newbies along!

    thanks
