Kinda New?

Hey All,
My name is Amanda, and I'm 5 foot 10 and 330 pounds. (that was kinda hard to type, but kinda freeing) I never took weight loss seriously because my family is all very heavy set, and I thought I carried the weight well. No one ever guessed I weighed that much; and for awhile that made me happy. It was like as long as people didn't think I was as heavy as I really was and I didn't have to go to a special stopre to buy my clothes I'd be good.
But since I got my new job and started doing more activities with my fiance (like camping and hiking) I began to realize just how out of shape I was. I knew it was time for action. I have been a very solitary person most of my life, since we moved around a lot as a kid. So I have been using MFP for a few months off and on. I am finding it hard to remember to log on, and keep motivated.
It never really dawned on me (untill I started reading the community forums:P ) that what I was missing is some friends! People who (unlike my soon to be mother in law who wants to gain weight) can understand my situation. So I thought I would make this post and see if anyone wanted to be friends a with someone who's not used to being social (I don't bite! ) so we can keep each other motivated and make this challange a little less daunting

I'm Smammi's sister and honey, I totally know where you are coming from.
I almost got into the habit of using my weight as a way of shocking people! Noone ever believes me when I tell them how much i weigh! It's kinda nice, but I can't go on being fat forever, it's not worth it.
I'm going to add you as a friend, I hope you don't mind?
