Morning Ladies.
I drank too much last night... we all hung out outside all night, drank beer and grilled... it was a ton of fun, but now I don't feel so hot.... hahaha. Oh well. I weighed myself this morning and it looks like the water weight is starting to come off... back down to my start weight... that's good.
Cathy - good for you - get all those sweets out of sight!
Julia - No idea what goes on with my log-ins... just wont let me in, and then I have to re-sign up because I can't be w/o MFP... hahah... you guys are the only reason i have any motivation left
I am SO ready for the weekend!0 -
Afternoon ladies. Hope everyone is having a good Friday. I know I'm ready for the weekend! Hopefully we can all do our best this weekend. I know I need to try and stay focused. We have a family reunion on Saturday (so NOT looking forward to it), but there will be tons of food there. And like me, many people in my family are good bakers, so lots of desserts. Need to remind myself of my goals, right?
So something I am curious of. I have had 3 people today comment on me losing weight. What I'm confused about, is that my weight has not really changed in almost 2 months, and I can't see how I am getting more muscle tone, as I haven't been able to do much cardio. I also haven't noticed a change in how my clothes fit. Any ideas whether it is just then suddenly noticing, or if somehow I look different? I just can't explain it....0 -
Hey ladies!
Sorry to hear that everyone is having a rough week.
I am actually back at it. Last week was my bad week. I made it to the gym M, T, Th and F this week. I had not planned to take off W but it just happened. I went to see "The Help" with a girlfriend instead. Well worth the break. I have ran W2D1 & 2 so far and will have to squeeze in day 3 tomorrow on the pavement. Yikes! I have been doing it on the treadmill and know that this will be a big change!
The scale is stuck in one place but I feel good about my accomplishments this week so I am going to take it!
I took today off work and as soon as dh is off work at noon we are heading to the beach. Have a good weekend everyone...I will pop in, most likely!0 -
Afternoon Everyone!
Leaving work in about 30 minutes. I have been a hungry hippo today... looks like I will only go over by 100 calories or so... I am completly OK with that considering what I could have eaten... there is still a lot of day left for that though... hahaha.
I will probably pop in during the weekend. We will be at the house working, and hopefully heading over to the beach (if we have time).
Have a great Friday ladies!!!!!!!!0 -
happy saturday sixers. today has been a great day so far... we did about 2 hours of yard work, and have spent the rest of the afternoon gutting our master bedroom... I am so excited to get started on that project... I logged all of that as an hour of vigorous cleaning... it was probably worth more calories but i don't want to over estimate...
going to get groceries with jeff now. adios0 -
i am drowning here. the scale has gone way wrong in the other direction.0

Went to DC for the weekend with hubby. Great time. Bike riding all day on Saturday. But lots of eating out and salty foods, so scale is hating me today. Oh well, I'll work off the water weight. You and me together Cathy.
As always, revamping my diet to help with depression and stomach issues. Read some interesting articles about milk protein intolerance and most symptoms are me, so I'm going to give cutting out dairy a try. I am having no problems whatsoever with not eating the wheat products, and have noticed an improvement in my moods and fatigue, and now when I have binged ate, it was on fruit, vegetables, and tons of yogurt. Did the no dairy this weekend with hubby. It's amazing how many calories I saved myself by not eating the cheese or cream of something. Just need to find something to supplement the calcium and protein I was receiving from the yogurt. Trial and error, trial and error.
Also, while I go through this transition for the next two weeks, I'm not going to worry about losing weight, so I changed my ticker. I'll be thrilled to just maintain at this point, since after cutting out wheat I ended up going UP in my weight. This whole healthy diet/exercise thing can be SOOOOOO frustrating.
Hope you all had a great weekend. On to a successful week...0 -
woaaahh!! bad weekend!!!
Adam was on a stag do all weekend so I hung out with the girls and ate and drank for 2 days solid! today I am massive detoxing and by the end of the week I'll be a normal weight again. I weighed this morn and i've put on 3lbs! eeek!!!!
so for that reason I will not weigh in tomorrow! I'll weigh in next week. I can't handle a gain it'll put me right off, so i'll just skip a week. I know thats not very honest, but it'll help me keep on track this week! xcx0 -
morning...
here it is 6:10 am and getting ready to head to the gym.
back later0 -
So my husband told me this morning that he is going wheat free and dairy free for the next two weeks. The problem is, he is agitated about it, even though it is his choice. I tried talking him out of it, maybe just picking the wheat since cheese is his vice, but he is determined...for the moment. Sadly, I think it is too restrictive all at once for him to be able to do it. But if nothing else, it might make him more conscious of what he is putting in his mouth. I'm still going to cheer him on for as long as it lasts, with maybe a gourmet meal minus wheat and dairy if he makes it the whole 2 weeks.0

lula....what about whole wheat items and use soy, almond, those types of milk. i really like the almond. it tastes sweet to me and good flavor. but, all you can do is support him. that's what we wifes do best....

Cathy - Great start, KEEP YOUR MOTIVATION AND ATTITUDE GOING!!!! You are inspiring0 -
Morning Sixers. Yesturday was great... until 8pm, and then I ate about 3 days worth of food... I have no idea why I do this to myself... as a result I don't feel well today, I am starting to think I am allergic (or react poorly) to dairy... / wheat... something...
lula I think I am going to take your lead and do some process of elimination... I think i will start with dairy (as I am almost positive I am lactose intolerent... BOO! heres to a week w/o cheese
haven't been able to eat yet today... feeling prety sick. i need to get into a good place this week... wedding is saturday and I don't want to feel bloated....
clare - what do you do to detox???0 -

Look up information too about Milk Protein Intolerance. It's different than lactose intolerance and actually changes the types of foods you can eat or not eat. I will tell you that in two days without dairy, my swollen, bloated abdomen has gone down considerably and I do not have the pressure feeling in my gut. So it's working for me ...so far.0 -

Good morning!
Well...had a pretty good weekend. Not sure what the scale will read tomorrow, but like I said I'm switching things up, so may take a while for my body to readjust. My weekly goals will be the following:
1. Yoga-3 times
2. Strength workout-3 times
3. Run-2-3 times
Hope everyone's having a good Monday!0 -
here is next weeks thread.....

This is the first time EVERYONE has checked in on a challenge.........
let's keep it up for next week too.
glad to see you kistin. glad things are going good. switching things around sends our bodies into a panic i think. they are like "whoa stop and go back to what you were doing i liked that, now i gotta work and move things again"....0 -
Hey ladies!
I had a great weekend. I did not log any food but did get in w2d3 on pavement instead of the treadmill:noway: That was eye opening. I am staying off the "dreadmill" and taking my runs outside. It is so different!
Lulu, I am definitely going to read up on this milk protien intolerance thing. I am so bloated all the time!0 -
clare - what do you do to detox???
stop eating!! haha! ummm... the juice detox is good (www.juicemaster.com) but this week i've just cut out the carbs, upped the fruit and veg, steered clear of the wine and massively increased the water. Next week I will do the juice detox for three days but I'm too busy at work this week to function just on juice!
i'm feeling pretty minging..... the detox wasn't working out yesterday so I had a banana muffin. not so bad, but not great. i need to start exercising again but I seem to have lost my motivation. booo!!!!0
