insanity...

Ok, so I have often heard that the definition of insanity was doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. Over the years I have tried dieting and exercising and would dive head-first into a supposed new lifestyle. This would last a week, maybe two then I would have a bad day or a busy day and that would be the end of my new lifestyle.
So instead of being classic insane and trying the same thing over hoping for something new, I am trying something new.
Here is my plan. Over the next few weeks I am going to pick ONE healthy lifestyle habit to start each week. I haven't really thought much about the order but I think it will go something like this.
week 1: drink 8 glasses of water a day (I"m on my way with this one)
week 2: do not eat after 8 PM. If I am completely starving I will have raw fruit or veggies. (this one is going to be the real struggle)
week 3; start cutting out the bad snacks and replacing them with healthy choices
week 4; make sure there are veggies with every meal
week 5: exercise 5 days a week.
ok, my plan. I may be leaving some things out but this is a baby step thing so I can add steps on the end. I feel the need to share this because it's too easy to cheat or blow it off if it's a secret.

Thats too easy!!! However if you are not in a healthy weight you should drink more water to help flush your body. You should have whatever your body weight is half that in oz! Other than that...girl we are going to be sexy with that plan!0

The eating after 7 Pm or whatever is actually a myth. I would recommend replacing it with a different one!
I am currently struggling with the water quotent. I think I need to buy me a fancy water bottle.0 -
Slimothy, I have heard the water to weight ratio as well.
Jersey, I think it would help to go buy a really sexy water bottle that we just love carrying around AND can clip to a purse or a bag.
Thanks all for encouragement, good luck and God bless to you all.0 -
Great ideas to get started! I would suggest for the "replacing bad snacks" goal, you make it more specific (name some of the regular bad snacks and name the alternatives) and maybe for "exercising 5 days a week" you could write down some ideas of what exercises that will be and for how long! Good luck0
