Muscle Milk would be a good post Workout recovery drink. With all the protein in it you wouldn't want to drink it before a workout. Just a note as you'll find out, it tastes horrible. I prefer low fat chocolate milk or milk with ovaltine as a recovery drink.

You have the right idea. It's good to drink after. Watch the calories in though. You should try muscle milk light

I heard regular milk or chocolate milk has a lot of protein and will do the same after a work out...if you don't like muscle milk, which I don't!

Tastes like milk of magnesia. YUCK. I prefer to make my own shakes with Gold Standard Whey protein. Tastes much better.

If you are getting dizzy after your workout I would try drinking it before.

If you're going to drink it before a workout, do it 2 hours in advance. Your body needs more time to break down the types of protien in muscle milk. You don't want your body actively working to digest while you are working out. That can have a negative impact on your energy levels available for your workout. Drinking it 2 hours in advance will actually help give you a bit of a boost.
