I was invited by one of my local running clubs, SIAC (Staten Island Athletic Club) to speak at their monthly meeting.

    Congratulations! Your story can be an insperation for all, it certainly is for me. I don't have the time right now but I'll watch the video later.

    I would expect that you'll probably get many oppertunities to do this kind of thing. I just wanted to mention that if you want to improve your public speaking abilities you could check out Toastmasters (www.toastmasters.org) this is a non-profit public speaking and leadership development organization. There are probably several clubs in your area, guests are encouraged and I'd recommend checking out a least 2 or 3 as the culture of each club can be quite different.

    Awesome for you.

    But there's not enough money in the world to get me to get up and speak in front of people. I even turned down teaching a class at work that my boss wanted me to do. I said no. He tried to imply that saying no might negatively affect my bonus. I told him he had to do what he had to do, but I was not doing it.
