Rest Day Questions

I've started actually taking rest days every 7th day because of the P90 schedule, and it kinda makes me feel lazy. I've heard a bunch of people say that they seem to lose pounds more often after taking a rest day and I was wonder if that was true, and if it is true, then what is the science behind it?

Definitely true for me, don't know the reasons behind it but I notice a bigger change in weight with rest days then when I'm pushing it really hard.0

I guess it gives your body time to recover. I don't know- I'm still fat, and pretty new to this whole "working out" thing- so I'm not an authority.0

I rest on weekends and have noticed that my weight loss usually comes over the weekend. I still stick to my calories on weekends and sometimes log active things I do (like walking park trails, etc.) but usually on the monday when I weight myself I see the biggest drop. Not sure of the science but they do say your body keeps burning hours after you work out and your body does need time to recover, so I wonder if that has anything to do with it.0

I use my P90 rest day to do yard work or go for a hike. A little different and still exercise.0

Speaking for myself..I take random..lets call them rest days yeah..sound better than can't be arsed days...and I DO drop a pound or so quite soon afterwards..I think..(I am not a professional) I think...that you confuse the body by making it think you have quit this crap and it can relax and slow down and all is good with its world..then when I pick back up and get going the shock burns the cals and the weight comes off...Like I said...this are just my thoughts..LOL...0

seemed to have posted itself twice so as you can't delete I thought I'd edit it off.0
