Hello, all.

As a single gal, I'm not much of a cook (lot of time and effort for one), so I like things quick and easy. Fuji Bean Sprouts were on "manager's special" at my local Fry's/Krogers, so I picked up a bag. Not sure what to do with them tonight, I read the package and saw "The Fuji Favorite: Microwave sprouts for 1-1 1/2 minutes, then top with marinara or au gratin sauce."

Oh my gosh... So delicious. I used Rao's Marinara Sauce (gluten free, cholesterol free, low saturated fat, no artificial colors) --- just heat and serve.

Just thought I'd pass it along.

Fuji Sprouts: 30 calories per 3/4 cup, 0 fat, 0 cholesterol, 0 sodium, 5g carbs, 3g protein
Rao's Marinara Sauce: 80 calories per 1/2 cup, 6g fat, 0 cholesterol, 340mg sodium, 4g carbs, 1g protein

Enjoy!

  • hmmmm... I never thought of doing that. I'm assuming these are mung sprouts? I love sprouts. I like living alfalfa sprouts and mung sprouts on my salads. :)

Thanks! I'm picking up some more sprouts tomorrow. I'll try this!

I love bean sprouts. I like to add some onions, mushrooms and Newmann's Asian Salad Dressing.

Yes, to the mung beans question... "sprouted from mung beans".
