I've been overweight since I was a kid. I'm just done with it, and sick of it, and it is all GOING.
For a few months I was going to the gym and eating better, and didn't drop weight but lost inches.
Now (after my pay day ;D) I'm getting proper running shoes, joining the gym again and my mum and I are eating better: only chicken, fish, nuts, fruit, veg or yogurt. I'm hoping to lose 25 kilos, putting me down to about 60/62 kilos and 5'9.
Anyway, I'm looking for inspiration and motivation! I tend to lose interest when I can't see quick results.
Anybody have any advice for me?

PATIENCE! This helped me a great deal in the beginning (I'm not new to MFP or fitness. This is just a new account!)
"It takes three weeks to start a new habit. Tomorrow is the first. Change your life and the lives of those close to you for the better. How you live your days is how you live your life."
make your new lifestyle a habit that you don't even think about. 21 days is all it takes. Easier said than done of course! But since you have someone there doing this with you, should make it easier! Just don't lose focus of your goals. Take one day at a time.0 -
log everything you do eating and exercise and eat as close as you can get to the calories carbs fat and protein it sets your goal at. you can add me if you want and good luck0

I've lost 56 pounds in 136 days. Doesn't seem quick to me, but it's been worth it. I feel so much better.
Eating right. exercise, and attitude are the keys, not the proper outfit or the membership to the gym.
I haven't missed a day's diary entries and have only gone over my calorie allownce about 4 times.
With a little effort You can do it, too! Good luck to you!0 -
Thanks everyone
Can I ask how I can find out how to lose about 1-2 kilos a week?0
