Good/Bad Idea? I don't know, you tell me...

So, I've been mulling something over the past few days. If I was to start a blog in which my readers voted and chose my diet/exercise regimen for the following week, would you be interested in following my progress? Or would no one be voting for what I did the next week.

I'm considering this because I basically don't have anything that motivates me to really really put effort into loosing weight, so maybe being accountable to others would help. Its not that I don't have things that should motivate me, its just that I'm well, kind of "blah" and I really need to be committed to someone and something else. I guess I'm an epic procrastinator, and I function the best when I have a deadline.

But to the question at hand, would you be interested in voting for someone's diet/exercise regimen? Would you make suggestions? Would you follow their progress?

In theory it sounds like a great idea... but in reality we have no idea on your physical capabilities, any health concerns/allergies, or time/equipment constraints.

I could suggest a lot of different things but if it isn't feasible for you and your life... then it's counterproductive.

How about you offer 2 or 3 choices and let us pick from those? Same with meals (should I eat this or that, etc).

I don't want to suggest eating steak if you're on a hamburger budget and I don't want to suggest exercises if you don't have certain equipment.

Not trying to be negative b/c I think it's a great idea if properly implemented! Good luck!
  • Check out Vixens Challenges, its similar, you set a goal, put your starting weight, and your goal for the time period chosen, and then you have a challenge, made public, and you're not alone in it.

yep i agree join a challenge. I joined one for the whole of august and it has exercise, diet and water challenges so far. It has been great and very motivating. You could also try something like the c25k program that gives you a program to follow to get you running 5k in 9 weeks

Personally i dont think i would vote each week on someones exercise routine.
