I'm sure this topic has been discussed quite a bit, but I'm new here and need a little help... I'm over my 30 grams of sugar allowance almost everyday (not by much) Its all because of fruit!! I'm a berry eater and all though healthy...sugar overload. My question good or bad???

Does it hinder your weight loss? If so, then I'd say yes, it's bad. But if you're still losing weight just fine, I think it's okay. Also, is it *really* just from fruit? Make sure you're being honest about your diary (not implying that you aren't, but it's easy to go over on sugar from other stuff, too, like milk, yogurt, etc...) And really avoid refined sugar like the plague--even if its not hindering your weight loss it's not really that good for you.0

I guess it depends, I am borderline diabetic. But insted of watching sugar they had me start watching carbs.
45 carbs per meal 15 carbs per snack. because all carbs turn to sugar. since watching carbs I am not over on sugar.
Hope this helps0 -
I'm not aware of any "positive" effects of too much sugar.... Sugar spikes insulin which in turn increases fat production.0

IMO, good. Unless you have a sugar-sensitive medical condition, such as an insulin-related disease like diabetes, eating healthy sugars is fine. If you were going over your sugars due to eating items containing refined sugars, then it might be something to consider when choosing your food items for the day.
ETA: While the sugar in fruit will slightly elevate your insulin levels, it is not a spike. The fiber and water in the fruit in combination with the sugar impede the insulin spike and crash. Processed fruit juice on the other hand does NOT do this and should be consumed in moderation, if at all (I am not talking about juiced fruits, but juices you purchase at the store).0 -
I'm always over too... I don't have a problem with it so long as it's from fruits & veggies and not refined sugars0

My weight loss isn't hindered at all...or should I say not yet. I really watch my sugar intake, and look at the nutrition values of everything. I'd say at least 90% of my sugar is fruit. I do have to admit when I first started my journey I couldn't believe how much of it came from milk and yogurt.0

I know! I was having yogurt and applesauce every day, and also milk......Not anymore though! If it's not hindering your weight loss I'd say you're good, but if you start getting slower, maybe that's something to look at!0
