I am making these for Thanksgiving tomorrow, they are the cutest little things! I even bought a cupcake tree stand to display them on. Here's the recipe and directions if anybody wants to make them. Enjoy!

Mix a can of dark pop, (coke or pepsi, ect.) with 1 box of any chocolate cake mix. After mixed, pour into a greased cupcake pan or into cupcake liners. Bake at 350 degrees until toothpick inserted comes out clean.

Decorations:
candy corn
chocolate sprinkles
decorating gel
low-fat chocolate frosting

Nutrition Facts:
94 cals cupcake
50 cals a tablespoon-Philsbury reduced sugar frosting
36 cals- 6 candy corn
20 cals- 1 tsp sprinkles (optional)

TOTAL:
200 cals - per cupcake
40 carbs
7 grams fat
1 protein
Tip: Save 50 calories by not adding sprinkles and candy corn to yours, just decorate them for looks!

Frost the cupcake lightly with low-fat chocolate frosting, creating a little glob for the turkey's head. Then use decorating gel to create the eyeballs. Place one candy corn on the head for the beak, and 5 candy corns upside down on the back for the feathers. Sprinkle some sprinkles for the feathers on his body.

    Awwww so cute:heart:
I tried the can of soda cake method... does it work best for cupcakes? I tried it with a cake and it fell apart:sad:
  • Aww, it fell apart? Thats strange, it worked well with the cupcakes but I haven't tried it with an actual cake before. You have to use 12 onces of diet pop though, I think a can is only 8 ounces. That may be the reason, it may have caused the cupcakes to not be moist enough to rise maybe?

 Good luck with them if you try again.
