So you dislike common breakfast foods? Not breakfast itself? For me, I am never hungry when I wake up. So I don't eat breakfast. I'm trying to be better at not eating when I'm not hungry. To eat breakfast just for the sake of eating breakfast, when I'm not hungry, is not good for me.

I never understood why people are so weird about "breakfast foods," "lunch foods," "dinner foods," etc. Most people I know dislike what is deemed "breakfast food" so they think they can't eat breakfast. Eat what you want for whatever time of day! I personally love what people deem "breakfast foods," but I'll eat them anytime I want. And if I want leftover dinner for breakfast? Then I'll do that, too. Don't eat for anyone else but yourself.
  • I drink a shakeology shake every morning for breakfast. Super easy to make and super super good for you..... has so many nutrients and vitamins and probiotics... Keeps you filled up and gives you so much energy!!!!
  • WIthout reading all the other posts. and depending on your goals. I'd say dont go by the general "3 meals a day thing."

Always...>ALWAYS eat something within 30 min of waking up, preferably followed by SOME kind of activity and it will get your metabolism off to a running start. 3, 4, 6, whatever. Eat when your hungry, slowly, and only till you're not hungry. You might find you're eating 5 to 6 small meals a day which is kind of ideal.

Like some said..it doesnt have to be breakfast foods. In fact...I think (think key word) that perhaps breakfast is the time where you should eat a substantial amount of your sugars/carbs. I had a roomate (6'2 bean pole and never worked out) from france and like most europeans his breakfast was like...whoa.pastries galore. But then as the day goes on lower the sugars/carbs and stick to protein and veggies. I never was never a fan of eating when I woke but now that I do....it's the essential part of my day. That energy boost from food when I wake up just makes my body scream "time to work out."

If you DO start to eat breakfast your body with start to adjust Start small (fruit smoothie/yogurt/anything). It will kickstart your energy and within a few days you might find that you're useless without breakfast. I started small and now i"m working my way to upping my breakfast to 500 or so calories then decreasing the calories of meals as the day nears end. 500 - 350 - 300 - then maybe 200 or so via a some healthy snacks throughout the day.
