I am an emotional eater who lost 45 pounds in 18 months using MFP, then put 15 of it back on. I KNOW what to do to lose weight but lately I keep sabotaging myself with high carb foods and justifying it with, "I'll do better tomorrow." I used to be a part of another motivational support thread but to be quite honest am ashamed to go back there. I am hoping for a fresh start and the support of others who have been there and conquered or are there now and need accountability like me.

I live in a rural area with no exercise buddy or gym nearby. So I must exercise solo. I need someone to hold my feet to the fire and help me believe in myself again.

  • I am pretty much in the same boat! I live way out in the sticks when Im not at Uni and in a really hilly area of Devon. I'm lucky I have the beach about 30 mins away but everywhere is a trip in the landrover before any exercise can happen.
    Im definitely an emotional eater, food is the first port of call whenever Im tired or moody, so hard getting out of that habbit and realising when you're genuinely hungry and genuinely full.
    All part of the journey I guess, hopefully we will learn to deal with it all!
