Let's see how this goes! I'm willing to give it a shot. I always struggle with the same 15 pounds on and off. I will admit I'm a true southern girl when it comes to my eating though. I like my red meat and fried foods! Hopefully this calorie counter will make me really start thinking about the foods I'm eating though. My husband eats pretty healthy, so it shouldn't be too hard to switch over to more chicken or fish.... but it is! I'll give this a shot though. I'm pretty good about exercising when I start it, but I'm out right now due to a foot injury, so that means I need to be watching my food even more! With any luck, I'll be back in the game in a couple more weeks and can really get the ball rolling.

Hey there and welcome!
I, too, am a southern woman. I have 105 lbs to lose, and I've been doing this since May. I still eat red meat, just not a lot of it. I've found my taste for it has changed. I mainly eat chicken and fish. If I do eat red, I try to keep it as lean as I can afford (price wise and fat wise). I believe you can still eat red, but change the way you cook it and what you put on the meat for flavor. I also believe that is one of the secrets of successful weight loss: not giving up what you like, but finding different ways to prepare the food or eating just half of that "bad" food.
Hopefully you'll be able to get that 15 lbs. off and keep it off. Good luck0
