Do you have one?
Do you love it & use it all the time?
What brand?
Does it take up a lot of space?
Is it easy to clean?

Since I started my weight loss plan here two months ago, I find I am using my food processor more than I used it for the 10 years I had it. I make homemade hummus with it about once a week, leaving out the oil, so that it is healthier than the store-bought. I also have been making my own homemade tomato sauce with roma tomatos, and I use the food processor for that as well. It is super easy to use, and I keep it in a drawer in my kitchen. There is a blade to clean, the bowl to clean, and the lid. But all are dishwasher safe.

A food processor takes up some room, but is well worth it. I used mine all the time (in the midst of getting a replacement). For grating and slicing vegetables, mixing dough, and making hummus, there is NOTHING better. I need to make a pureed soup and I'm craving it so badly, and cannot live without a food processor!

I bought an orange 1970's food processor at a garage sale last summer for $2. An eldery woman had had it for years and never used it. Still was shiny and new looking, had all the attachments and manual.

It works fantastic! So sturdy, heavy-duty, and well-made, unlike my friend's new $50 processor (cheap for a processor).

    I really love garage sales!
