30 DS is just like any other workout program...if you are doing the workouts AND you are eating correctly, your body will change. Some people see changes immediately, others don't right away. But that's all about your own body, possibly diet, not the workouts. Just keep at it and I am sure you will see some results!0

I just finished day 6 level 1 and actually have gained a 1 1/2 lbs
im staying 200 calories or so under goal and walking every evening for 30mins since starting MFP 3 weeks ago and lost 5lbs before starting 30DS so i hope to see a little bit of a drop over these next few days or im gonna be one heated MOMMA!!

I was doing 30ds for a while and gave up. I was in a weight loss competition and it made me gain weight. I did notice more muscle though especially in my arms. Good Luck, it will work, just give it more time. I have heard a lot of people have had great results from it. I plan to start it again after I have my baby.0

Most people gain weight from ANY new workout program initially. It is mostly water weight gain associated with DOMS which is in place to help your body heal and repair muscle tissue. This is also why most people quit a new program way too early. This phenomenon usually lasts anywhere from 1 week to 1 month depending on the person. It's also why trainers like Chalene Johnson and Tony Horton tell you to not worry about the scale until the second month of working out.0

I'm on day 9 also and have not had any weight or measurement changes. I certainly notice an increase in stamina during the workout, but like you I am hoping by the end to see something. I don't see how all I could change is my stamina. I was hoping for at least 1 pound by now.0

I did the whole 30 days and didn't lose any weight or measurements. However, I knew for a fact that I was working hard, so there's no way my heart didn't get a little healthier!
When I finished, I started Chalean X and now I'm losing every week.
Keep up the good work, it will pay off even if the scale doesn't move. Good luck!0 -

Very helpful info. Thx!0 -
Chances are the weight you gained was just water weight. Now I am going to try to explain this the best I understand and hopefully someone else can jump in and give a better explanation....
When you work your muscles they tear, when they tear retain water to help them heal. When they heal - this is how your muscle builds up. Thus your body retains more water with the more strength you do. In 30DS you work a lot of muscle!! And if you aren't used to it I imagine your body needs time to adjust. Just hang in there and down your water. I am a 30DS alum and saw great results! Its a great workout that can introduce you into other workouts. It sure helped build my endurance
Good luck...don't give up!!0 -

I would not worry too much as that is probably water weigh. Your muscles are gonna retain water since they are getting pummeled by Jillian!
I did not loose right away but I did take my measurements day 1 and had some lower measurements by day 10. I am actually on L3D4. So far I am loosing about a pound a week. I have lost 2 inches in my waist and chest each and just over an inch on my hips!0 -

I didn't see any results until closer to the end, but I also didn't measure until I completed. I lost 7 lbs and 11 inches in the 30 days.0
