hey has anyone tried those MBT anti-shoes out? I've been curious but I'm not sure how expensive they are, or if it's worth forking over the cash. The concept seems sound..

    Um, barefoot?

 Haven't heard of them. Where are they sold? What are they supposed to do or be?

I just saw an ad for them in Women's Health magazine and was wondering the same thing.....but they seem to run about $250 for a pair at ****'s Sporting Goods Store. I'm just not sure that I'm ready to spend that kind of money for a shoe, no matter how good it is.

my fiancee used to work at a store that sold them, and yep they're about 250.00, instead of buying them, i'd stick to doing some calf raises on a regular basis for free!!!
  • that is definately out of my budget. there's another brand, Fitflops, that I think are cheaper. I don't get to move around much during the day so I need all the help I can get, but I was thinking about maybe just getting some ankle weights to use throughout my workday.

    I've heard of FitFlops.
I thought they'd give me a back ache.

Why not try moving around the house in only lunges? Or walk on your tip toes when you walk through the house. Wouldn't that give you some of the same benefit as these high dolla' shoes?

BTW, I saw FitFlops at Bath & Body Works for $50.

My mother wears them because of foot problems she likes them but only for certain things. For $250 you can get a really good pair of tennis shoes and orthodics (if you need them) and do what we should all be doing anyway and that is getting busy at the gym and working for it. My mom says her hiney was sore but her legs were worse because you have to learn to walk in them so you don't fall backwards!
  • curves has a similar leg toning shoe you can buy from avon for about $40. I ordered some, but my size is on back order. I read a review that says if you never tried mbt, they're great shoes. If you have tried mbt, you'll notice a difference.
