So I started doing Pilates yesterday and when I went to enter it under strength, it asked me for sets and reps and I had no clue what those were so I went under cardio and Pilates was in there so I entered it under cardion instead. So I was thinking today and I am sure that Reps are how many times you do a particular exercise and Sets are the different exercises?? Please correct me if I am wrong!!

    Not quite.

Reps are how many times you lift the weight and sets is how many different times you do it. So for example:

    Bench press : 20lbs x 12reps x 3sets

So you would life 20lbs 12 times for 3 separate sets.

Reps and sets are usually for weight training. I wouldn't use the strength section for Pilates because it usually doesn't translate to sets and reps if you are doing a video workout or class. If you are doing your own, you could do sets and reps of specific Pilates type exercises and log it that way. As for your question, reps are indeed how many times you lifted the weight or did the exercise. Sets are groups of reps. Like if you do 10 leg circles (using a Pilates exercise...hehe) and then rest for a minute and do 10 more leg circles, then you've done 2 sets of 10 reps.

Also if I were u keep entering pilates under cardio because when u enter things under strength on mfp it doesn't give u calories because it doesn't know how fast or slow u were doing ur sets and reps.
