I really want to keep with it this time. I figure if I can finally stop biting my nails, I can be just as committed to lose weight. I could use any and all tips, tricks, and motivation. I get zero support from my family & friends so I'm searching for a MyFitnessPal family.

My family and friends are more like sabotagers (is that even a word?). They are all thin and don't understand what it's like to watch what you eat and making sure that you move/exercise. Every time I turn down pizza, fried food, etc. I have to hear about it for weeks.

I get odd looks when I -do- accept the food offers. It's the "I thought you were on a diet?" look. It's not a diet, it's a lifestyle.
Feel free to add me as a friend if you'd like-same invite to everyone.

I've been doing this for 15days, today, and for me its about making healthier food choices... lower calories and lots of fresh fruits and vegies, AND controlling portion sizes, sure you can have pizza... maybe one or two slices though,or pasta, again small portion (one serving of pasta is 100grams dry).. you dont have to give up the things you like, you just have to be aware of portions and cals.. =D

its an amazing thing learning about the calories in foods and portion sizes. and for me i try and eat, fresh foods, not processed or prepackaged, and no added anything!! its been a learning curve, and yes i have bad days, but i've had more good days then bad... the trick is to keep at it, its pretty easy, if you eat properly and drink plenty of water, to say no to the foods that are not only high in cals but have little or no nutrition for you body, becomes really easy, because you know whats in those foods, and also your not hungry =D
all the best with your journey.. and your doing this for you and no one else.

add me as friend if you like... =D
