I have been under extreme stress lately-due to work, holidays, finances, personal issues and I cannot seem to lose weight even though I work out and eat right every day! I am having a super hard time coping with my stress levels-any ideas? Due to the stress I also cannot sleep right

Do you go to a gym? If you do, why don't you check out a yoga class. They can be very calming. Or, on the other end of things, a kickboxing class. Get out your aggressions one kick at a time. Something else I do when I'm stresed out is journal about it. Getting everything out on paper somehow makes me feel better. I'm sorry you're under so much stress. Hang in there! :flowerforyou:

Yes, excersice and drink plenty of water. I know I have been in some stress myself which is why I began to change my eating habits. Stress is my weakness, and I used to eat when I was stressed! i mean lots of chocolate and just a bunch of junk. It takes time, but get all that stress out somehow!!

I'm confused. Your profile mentions that you've lost 24 lbs. That sounds like you're losing weight.

Stress will slow your weight loss down, but not entirely eliminate it. Have you merely hit a plateau? Maybe your body is just taking a break, catching itself up chemically and metabolically.

Relax and keep doing what your doing. Try to take 'me-time' to decompress. Do something fun, or do some meditation, and buy some 3mg tabs of melatonin to help you sleep. And remember that "this too shall pass". The rough times don't always last forever, that is unless we let them. So when the stress levels return to normal, so will your weight loss.
