i've seen the forums abused a lot lately and i figured time to use it to my advantage!

I'm getting a headache searching for a dehumidifier for my playroom.

anyone buy or look into one lately that can make a recommendation?

THANK YOU!

dehumidifiers, they're all the same -

how do you know you need a dehumidifier? most AC's will do a reasonable job since they have a condenser (sorry my initial reply had nothing to do with your post

Sears has them. I've had one a Kenmore running for several years without a problem.

i have central air and it doesn't seem to be pulling out the moisture effectively.
there's a bathroom in the playroom (and it's where the kids have been filling up their water guns, etc) so right by the bathroom door the carpet gets a little wet and the room is starting to smell damp.
think a humidifier is the way to go.

I have a Danby unit that works very well - got it at Wal-Mart. I'm not sure what capacity mine is, but I also don't know what size of room or area you are trying to dehumidify. Works well in my tiny basement.
