I just read an interesting article in Womans Health-12 reports

Know what to drink and what not to:

There are many ways alcohol can get you into trouble. It doesn't make you feel full or decrease the amount of food you will eat. But it does enourage your body to burn as much as 36% less fat and make you store more of the fat you eat. And it can inhibit your production of hormones that help burn fat and build muscle.

Now I can blame my lack of weightloss this week on the 3 beers I had last Friday, instead of the 3000 cals I ate on Thanksgiving!

Yeah....still not enough to make me give up wine. I don't drink very often, but I normally polish off a bottle of wine by myself. Which is why I don't drink very often.....:blushing:

Great! I haven't drank in almost two years due to pregnancy and baby being born. I've just been waiting fro a great night out and now I will not feel like "celebrating" with my Long Island Ice Tea because it will screw up my whole diet week. Thanks a lot Women's Health! Just kidding, thanks for the useful information - I'm not a drinker anyway, guess I can leave those kind of college days back in 1994 at ECU!!

This is news to me but yet they encourage moderate drinking, meaning one or maybe 2 a day, of course not 600 calorie maragritas:tongue: but wine lite beer. On oprah dr. oz said it helps cardio health better than a teetotaler

I save my "one or two a day" up for a month or two, and then I have them all! :) I hate reading up on "new finds" from those scientists....they just can't seem to make up their minds!
