And when i realize how much i've eaten, i do a LOT of exercise and then i feel like hell..><
It's like i forgot to eat! I tried to eat bigger breakfasts and lunches and little and law in calories dinners, but somehow it didn't work out.. What do u do? I mean what are ur usual meals? Can anybody help?

  • You could try planning your meals the day before. If you are supposed to eat 1200 calories each day, try to eat 300 calories for each meal and 300 in snacks. For breakfast you could have fruit, cereal, an egg, toast...whatever you like...that adds up to about 300 calories. Do the same for lunch--a sandwich, fruit, even chips if you want--to total around 300 calories. Do the same for dinner. Planning ahead, and writing it down and carrying it with you throughout the day, should help you remember to eat. All the best to you!

It doesn't sound like an eating disorder, it just sounds like you need to get your body used to eating food at certain times. Get up, have something small (say, bowl of healthy cereal - fiber one or kashi; it's higher calorie and will get your metabolism going better than just a 60 calorie apple)... try to time it 2-3 hours later, eat lunch. If it has to be small if you're not very hungry, so be it. Start off with a good sandwich. Whole grain, maybe some tuna with light mayo and some veggies on it or celery or something on the side. Also try nuts for a side. Pistachios, walnuts, almonds. Anything not salted or sweetened. For a snack a couple ours later, try string cheese and an apple. Couple hours later, have dinner. Lean protein (4 oz or so) - chicken, tilapia or cod, ground turkey, etc., complex carb - brown rice, whole grain or multigrain pasta, and have a veggie - broccoli, green beans, sweet potato, etc.

Once you get your body used to eating at certain times, your body will crave it and it will be much easier for you to eat when you need to. And if your body is getting the nutrients it needs throughout the whole day versus getting them only at night, you won't need to gorge yourself once dinner arrives.

my advice is to keep trying with eating at breakfast and lunch. when I was a student, I used to not eat until really late in the day and then eat LOADS. since I started working I found it easier to get myself in a routine and now I have about 350 cals for breakfast, then anything from 400 -600 for lunch and whatever is left for dinner and after excercising etc. since having breakfast I noticed that it really kick starts my metabolism and makes me hungrier for lunch, but stops me from eating lots and snacking in the run up to bed time. Another thing is if I get a bit peckish or get a sweet craving, I have a low cal hot chocolate before bed in a big mug and that curbs any sweet craving, fills my belly and makes me nice and sleepy :)

    Hope this helps!

I make sure to eat a satisfying breakfast that will keep me full (relatively) until lunch. Most of the time it's oatmeal (120 cal), but filling. I have coffee with it (blame it on the babies that drain my energy :) I usually have a snack in between breakfast and lunch to ensure that I don't eat too much at lunch. Maybe a granola bar or piece of fruit with peanut butter. Lunch is usually a wholewheat wrap filled with lentils/veggies/grilled chicken or ham (about 300 calories). another snack before dinner. maybe some wheat thins or carrot sticks dipped in hummus. Dinner can be a nice big salad filled with lots of veggies and some kind of protein, whether it be grilled salmon or chicken, black beans, or a quinoa salad made with roasted peppers/artichokes etc. then i eat one more snack (usually a mini bag of popcorn, the 100 cal bag). hope this helps :)

yes, thanks u everyone, i'll try out ..u know..i didn't want to tell at the start, but the reason it's hard for me..is not the slimming down part, but rather the part in which i need to learn to eat cause i've been bulimic for over a year, and didn't tell anyone, but luckily i realized with a web page help that it was wrong, and it helped me, and i'm already better...but still not well
So thank u for ur advice ^ ^

Skip breakfast and have only 2 or even 1 meal a day. Save all your calories up and eat them in one sitting. That way you can still eat a huge meal and not go under.

Also, are you sure you know how much you are supposed to be eating? What are your stats?
