Does anyone on here do low carb too? or just the calorie thing, and if you tried the low carb thing before (i know it works diffrently for some people and its restrictive and what not so i'm not looking for someone to tell me why I shouldnt do it) but is there a free website that includes others who also are doing low carbs?

I go low glycemic carbs read less refined that way my body has to break them down and it takes l;onger. But in general I follow a natrual unprocessed "diet" lean protien lots of fiber and water rich veggies and un refined carbs. I do take in heavier carbs than most I do a 60-30-10 with it meaning 60 percent of fiber/unrefined carbs 30 percent lean protien 10 percent fats(healthy fats) and it definately satisfies me.0

I've been doing it for almost 3 years. I would actually call it a lifestyle change. I do eat some carbs but not a lot I try and get them from oats, and veggies (I am not a huge fruit fan). I try to eat carbs earlier in the day to fuel my work-outs. There are a ton of great cooking books I am a fan of South Beach, you can eat out, you can eat "clean", I really can't say enough about it. It is different for everyone. Good luck!0

Yea, I've done both South Beach and a Ketogenic Diet. I don't know of a website...I bought the SB book and then returned it after taking notes (hehe  ) and the Ketogenic Diet I read about on bodybuilding.com. I did SB for about 6 months and lost a good bit of weight before prom (ugh, but what the heck for?). I can't remember why I didn't stick with it. I did Keto for about a year and lost a good deal of weight then too. I liked SB more...with Keto you really have to carb up frequently if you're doing endurance work, and then there's no point to it.
If you get back to a regular amount of carbs, don't be alarmed by the weight gain. It's not all the fat 'coming right back', it's just the weight of stored blood sugar being replenished and the water associated with it. Your actual fat mass wouldn't change unless you overate.0
