Not hungry?

I've been at my goal weight for quite awhile now, so I'm in maintenance. I've been eating 2200-2500 net calories since going into maintenance. I eat my exercise calories because I know my body needs it.

For the last week to 10 days, I'm just not hungry. I've been forcing myself to eat because I know you can't starve yourself. But, honestly.. I'd just as soon not eat. This is very odd for me because I'm usually planning my next snack or meal while consuming the current one. lol.

I'm not sick. I'm not dehydrated. It isn't hot or humid outside. I haven't been lazy either - I am still working my normal hours and we went to Cedar Point for two days last week. So, it isn't like I've been laying on the couch doing nothing (which would explain why I wasn't hungry - since I wouldn't be active, but that isn't the case).

Anyone have any idea why I'm feeling like this? Anyone been through this? I went to the gym last night and ran to see if I could jumpstart my appetite again - but.. nothing (and usually I am STARVING the day after I run).

I'm very perplexed by this.

It is just very weird as I've never experienced this before.... I'm trying to figure out what in the heck is going on. *shrug*
  • First off, congrats on reaching your goal weight! That's so awesome!!! I'm jealous! :)

Do you think you should lower your calorie intake for a few days and see then if you are hungry? Maybe that will jump start your appetite!

    You look ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS!

I say try what kappy suggests, and if that doesn't work, talk to your doctor. Weight loss can lead your body into some strange places and hormonal imbalances.

In the past, when I've dropped my calories - I've gained weight. That is why my net calories are so high --- because anything lower and I see a slow gain. I'm watching my weight closely right now to see what happens. I'm going to see what happens when I go back to the gym 3 days this week (took a week off due to pain my hip where I had a stress fracture). I've been at my goal weight for almost a year - so I think my body is well adjusted to this weight. :) The lack of hunger is odd. I'm still eating - but I feel like I am forcing myself to keep eating vs wanting to eat.

Have you had an annual check-up lately? Even though you say you feel okay, it may be something medical. Even though it may be something a little 'out of whack', it can wreak havoc on your system. Just a suggestion. You do look great!!
