Hi - I'd like to lose at least an inch from around my waist in the next week. I've been pretty steadily losing 1/2 an inch there since starting MFP. I'd like to kick that up a notch for this coming week (my 10th wedding anniversary is coming up  and we're leaving for a family vacation in 8 days). Is that an realistic goal? If it's achievable in a healthy way, I'd love advice. I'm cutting out sugar this week and in general cleaning up my diet, and kicking the exercise back into gear (been out of commission this past week due to a sprain)...

I'm always eat back my exercise cals to net 1200, and that's resulted in steady weight loss (a little over a pound a week, up until this sprain). I can change that up for this week, if that will help.

Drink LOADS of water and go easy on the carbs would be what I would do. Failing that I'd get out the trusty magic knickers

This last week I lost 1 1/2 inches off my waist and I only lost .6 of a pound. I just did the elliptical 6 days for 30 minutes. So it is possible.

I was going to say the same thing BeccyBerry said. Low or NO carbs and drink tons of water. When you work out, try to sweat a lot! Good Luck!

I lost about 3 inches off my waist in the first 2 weeks I started working out, but it slowed down after that (understandably)... I'm not expecting that kind of change now, but I'd like to see what I can achieve. (I certainly wouldn't be upset to lose an inch and a half. LOL) I'm kicking the water up a notch, and doing P90X in addition to C25K... so hopefully I'll see that difference!
